In My Own Words
I spend my off-season: teaching SPIN classes, working out and getting fat
My goals and expectations for 2009 are: get more involved with the behind the scenes portion of the team, crash less and get on a podium!
I am returning to racing because: my dream of a solo cross-country bike ride is not feasible. I have always found peace and freedom on my bike, and riding makes me a better person, so I am anxious to see how the year plays out. I’m looking forward to making some of these races “mini-vacations” for my family.
I consider my finest moment on the bike to be: anytime I pass someone with gears on my singlespeed going uphill.
The one thing I’ve done on a bike that I will never do again: rrace in the 1st NORBA World Championships in 1990.
When I’m not on my bike, I like to: visit Emergency rooms, recover from my crashes, take derailleurs off my bikes and spend time with my wife and kids.
